High Camp Flask
As we find wine & adventure go hand-in-hand, we decided to take on the challenge of finding the best vessel with which to bring our wine along on the trail. We recently took our High Camp Flask on a winter hike to put it to the test.
High Camp Flask
While we've come up with some creative ways in the past, discovering a stainless steel flask that was actually MEANT for wine felt like a huge win for camping, canoeing & long hikes or picnics where our favorite beverage is a nice addition to our experience. We took our custom Parkside Flask out on the trail for some exploring. This "flask" is built more like a thermos, to keep hot liquids hot & cold liquids cold. It holds a full 750ml bottle of wine & has a cap that seals shut. The sleek design reveals two insulated stainless steel wine cups that magnetically attach to the body of the flask, but seamlessly pop off when you're ready to pour & sip.
Trail Notes
Discover New York's surprising western-style wilderness at the Finger Lakes National Forest, a unique ridge between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes where cattle graze freely amidst trails winding through wooded ravines & open pastures. This multi-use gem offers hikers over 30 miles of diverse landscapes, from deep gorges to grasslands, showcasing a blend of forests & vital wildlife habitats, making it a distinctive national forest experience. Don't forget your hiking boots (and in warmer months wear your play-clothes as the forest can be really muddy after a rainfall)! There are walking & horseback trails, single & group campsites as well as Brian's main attraction - mountain biking trails. Our scenic walk on this chilly December day was in the South-Eastern part of the forest & covered a range of terrain from steep hills to icy creek-beds (where we properly demonstrate how to chill your wine in the forest in the photo attached).
