The Bea family has been in the hills of Montefalco, Umbria since at least the 1500's. Now run by Paolo's son, Giampiero, the estate is focused on farming and winemaking using as little intervention as possible while making incredibly expressive wines. This wine is made from equal parts Chardonnay, Grechetto, Garganega, Sauvignon and Malvasia. The grapes are crushed and spend 2 weeks on their skins. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at low temperature, and the wine is left on fine lees for a year before bottling. Fermented ginger, cedar, white flowers, dried apricot.
