Just 20 minutes south of Vienna, the Stadlmann family has been tending vines in the Thermenregion since the late 18th century. Bernhard Stadlmann, the 8th generation took over from his father in 2006 and is dedicated to maintaining the traditions of his family. Only 75 hectare of Zierfandler remain in the Thermenregion and Stadlmann is the clear standard bearer, making age worthy examples in large oak barrels, creating structured, characterful wine. Rich and savory but with refreshing acidity and intense mineral, this is a unique wine!
