Pecina is one of a relative few Rioja producers still producing wine in the traditional way, which is to say long aging in neutral, American oak, open air racking and further long aging in bottle. Founded in 1992 by Pedro Pecina who had 20 years of vineyard management experience at La Rioja Alta prior to starting his own winery. This wine is 100% Viura from 2 plots on calcareous clay, that are both practicing organic. Savory, nutty and saline with bright citrus and green apple, this is a pleasure in the glass. Traditional white Rioja.
