Russiz Superiore was purchased by Marco Felluga in 1956 and is now run by his grand daughter Ilaria Felluga, the 6th generation of winemakers in the Felluga family. They grow a mix of native and international varieties here, with Cabernet Franc being their choice for red wine. Classic and polished at the same time with purple flowers, pepper, wild red berries and a deep concentration. The wine spends 12 months in French Oak rounding out the edges and providing a nice softness.
