Proprieta Sperino is the result of a homecoming for one of the most legendary winemakers in Italy, Paolo DeMarchi. The ancestral home of the founder of Isole e Olena in Chianti, DeMarchi returned to the Alto Piemonte with his family to reclaim family vineyards in 2000 after a nearly 100-year hiatus.  His son Luca is now at the helm, continuing in his father's footsteps.  Sourced from four vineyards in Lessona all planted on Sandy soils, there is a lot of wine in this bottle. Intense Dark Fruit, bright fresh and dried flowers and structure for days. A great candidate for a few years of aging.
