Moving from the Swiss Alps to Tuscany with a dream and a bank loan to plant grapes, the Davaz brothers found an island in the woods to stake their claim.  That was 40 years ago and they have since quadrupled their vineyard area and a second generation has moved in to start taking the reins. This is Sangiovese from the oldest plot on the estate. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherry, mint, white pepper and chalk.
