Pietro Clementi purchased this estate in 1969 after growing up in Valpolicella outside of Verona, where his parents sent him to escape bombing raids during World War II. He and his family strive to make the wines that he grew up with, not the over-extracted, over-oaked wines Valpolicella came to be known for. This wine fits that mold with crunchy blue and black fruit, mineral tension and freshness. A wine that will make you rethink what you know as Valpolicella.
