Sashi Moorman has had a hand in many of the top Syrah and Pinot Noirs in California over the past 20 years. Between partnerships with sommeliers and other winemakers, he has a track record of beautiful, fresh wines that defy the California style of high alcohol and lots of oak. Piedrasassi is Sashi's winery where he aims to produce that same style of wine, using only large neutral barrels and minimal sulfur. Located just 7 miles from the ocean in the Arroyo Grande Valley, the cooler climate brings out lavender, sour cherry, violet, and a savory quality.
