Phillippe Foreau is third generation of his family to run this estate since his grandfather purchased it in 1923. In the northeast corner of Vouvray, the Foreau family has 11.5 hectares of Chenin Blanc planted around their cellar which was dug out of the local Tuffeau soil and is filled with barrels that are 20-30 years old. They make a range of Chenin, from this dry wine to sweeter and sparkling styles. A benchmark, classic style of Chenin, honey, lanolin, crisp red apple and white flowers. With a few years in bottle, this wine is still a baby. It's drinking well now, but will age for many years to come.
