Still owned by the Pasquero-Elia family after nearly 250 years in the village of Neive, they have been staunch practitioners of traditional methods of making Piemontese wines with long macerations and large, neutral botti for aging. The Barbera for this wine comes mostly from the Serraboella Cru, their top vineyard, planted on calcareous clay with sandstone. Rose petal, spice, tobacco and orange peel round out this polished Barbera.
