Starting small in the early 1980's and remaining small, La Due Terre is a family affair, with Flavio Basilicata, Silvana Forte and their daughter, Cora as the only employees, just bringing in help for harvest and pruning. With 4 hectares of vineyards, they are able to control everything closely and are considered a benchmark producer by their neighbors in Friuli. A blend of 70% Friulano and 30% Ribolla Gialla that are macerated for 14 days to give it some light amber color and great texture. Salted caramel and creme fraiche are accompanied by fresh and dried orange peel, white flowers and preserved apricot.
