With a damaging frost early in the growing season in 2023, many wineries had to get creative to source fruit. Some turned to their friends on Long Island to purchase fruit to make wine which turned out some fun, one off wines. Made at KLV with Syrah grown on Long Island, this wine has a pretty, fruit driven nose with purple flowers and dried herbs that lead to a palate with savory black and red fruit with tons of character. A wine you probably won't encounter another version of any time soon!
