Jim Barry was a pioneer who was key in establishing the Clare Valley as a benchmark in the world of Riesling. His family continues that legacy today as a leader in Australian wine. This is a bit of a curiosity in their portfolio, a grape that is native to Greece and rarely found outside of it's homeland, Assyrtiko. Planted in 2012 at their Lodge Hill Vineyard after Jim fell in love with Assyrtiko on a trip to Greece, it was the first planting in Australia. Citrus, jasmine, quince and a deep peach note. A unique find!
