The Almondo family has been growing and selling grapes for generations but didn't start bottling it to sell until 1980. While you may not have heard of Arneis, it's what the Barolo winemakers drink when they go out to dinner in the Piedmont. It is effortlessly drinkable with stone fruit, salinity and mint-flecked citrus, grown on a sandy clay-limestone hillside that was formerly an orchard, where the wine gets its name.
