Elisa Freire Lobo has spent the last 15 years bringing her family's land back to life, restoring 70-year-old vines that grew between grazing pastures and olive trees, hoping to find some distinct terroir. She has done just that, converting the property to organics and growing the grapes to make this wine. A blend of native Portuguese grapes, this wine sees only stainless steel, preserving the crunchy purple fruit, balancing acidity and fine tannin. The depth of this wine certainly would command a much higher price point elsewhere in the world, but here we are!
