Forge Cellars makes some of the most interesting, nuanced Rieslings and Pinot Noir in the Finger Lakes and all from the Southeast Corner of Seneca Lake. Working with fewer Pinot sites than Riesling, this blend from only a handful of sites is clearly layered with the personality of each. Southeast Seneca, known locally as the Banana Belt because of it's relative warmth is the perfect microclimate for Pinot Noir, and each site, with distinct soil types makes a unique example of Pinot Noir.
