Coming from 4 generations of winemakers and distillers, Fanny Fougerat decided to branch out and start her own label in 2013. Vinifying and distilling lot's separately, she is able to pick out the notes from the unique terroir that she is looking to have in the finished product. Fanny, capitalizing on Cognac's proximity to the sea, took oak staves to an oyster farmer where they were watered with Seawater for a year and then used to make barrels in which this was aged. This unique approach highlighted the minerality and freshness of this particular Cognac, all from the 2016 vintage.
