Founded in the Swiss region of Zug in 1870, Etter is now in it's 4th generation of distillers. The Etter family only made cherry brandy, Kirsch, until 1981 when they started to branch out. It's still Kirsch for which they're known. Aging in glass reveals a depth of fruit flavor that could be lost with oak aging. Each bottle contains about 10 pounds of cherries all grown around the Zug region. Deep cherry, white blossoms and a savory streak all evolve as the bottle is open and the brandy sits in the glass. Great before dinner or after, but this could also play well in a variety of cocktails. Just ask us which ones.
