The Chave family has been making wine in the Rhone Valley since 1481, that's 16 generations. Relocating to their current location due to Phylloxera in the 19th century, they take a parcel by parcel approach to their farming and winemaking alike. Jean-Louis Chave took over in 1992, continuing his families legacy. This is a blend of historic parcels across St-Joseph. Dried violet, forest floor, red plum and pencil shaving round out this savory, medium bodied Syrah.
