Coming from a distinguished Tuscan winemaking family, William Goldschmidt wanted to make his own mark. His family's winery, Corzano e Paterno has been making great Chianti's for decades. The Pinot Nero vineyard this wine comes from is planted at 650 meters, much to high for the Sangiovese that was planted there previously, but perfect for Pinot Noir. Black and yellow cherries, blueberry,  great savory undertones of dried leaves and herbs with some spicy oak notes.
