While co-ops are fairly common in Europe, there aren't many that we would consider selling. This is an exception. Donnas is a dramatic region in the Valle d'Aosta's far eastern reaches, dedicated to Nebbiolo. The vines are trained on hillside pergolas to maximize exposure to sun and air flow. A rustic version of Nebbiolo with red fruit, dried herbs and flowers, and mouth-coating tannin, this is a wine for the table.
