Cascina Penna-Currado is one of the most exciting new labels in the Piedmont if not all of Italy.  Luca Currado and his wife Elena Penna started Penna-Currado after the sale of Luca's family winery, Vietti. They're Barolo's will be out in a few years, but in the meantime, we have their Nebbiolo. The vineyards for this wine are wrapped around a chapel dedicated to Saint Sebastian, hence the name. The vineyard sees cool nights, and the 24 vintage was cool and dry.  The wine is macerated for 14 days after alcoholic fermentation then aged for 12 months in oak before bottling. Cherries, Strawberries and Raspberries, Roses, Violets, bright freshness and lovely tannin.
