Cascina Penna-Currado is one of the most exciting new labels in the Piedmont if not all of Italy.  Luca Currado and his wife Elena Penna started Penna-Currado after the sale of Luca's family winery, Vietti. They're Barolo's will be out in a few years, but in the meantime, we have their Timorasso, a grape native the Piedmont that has had a resurgence in the past couple of decades. Textured, bright and airy, with dried flowers and sweet herbs, this is a wine with lots to say and the beginning of a great Piemontese estate.
