Boundary Breaks is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive down the dirt road to reach their tasting room looking west over Seneca Lake. They label their Rieslings by the name of the clone that was used in the wine. This particular clone is No. 198 and they tend to make it slightly off dry. 2016 was a great, warm, dry vintage in the Finger Lakes and it shows here, with juicy fruit, balanced by classic Finger Lakes acidity that is starting to evolve, showing classic Petrol notes that bring a slightly savory side to the wine.  A great value for 10 year old Riesling!
