Val de Mer is the second winery of celebrated winemaker Patrick Piuze. Originally from Montreal, Patrick settled in Chablis where he has made a name for himself as one of the top winemakers in the region. Apart from his eponymous label, he has Val de Mer, located in the village of Tonnerre where the Pinot Noir for this wine is sourced from. The fruit is macerated for color and then fermented and bottled for a second fermentation where it stays for 9 months before being disgorged without a dosage. Fresh strawberries, ripe raspberry, bright citrus and brioche make this an incredible value from a top French winemaker.
