Ojai was founded by Adam Tolmach in the early 90's to make wines of restraint and finesse. Adam continues to seek out vineyard sites that slowly ripen grapes to maintain freshness. He makes Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and a little Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is grown in two of the cooler sites that Ojai works with, producing a rich, expansive wine that has a great backbone of refreshing acidity. Spends 9 months in oak before bottling.
