La Raia, located in Gavi in Southeast Piedmont, is an overperforming producer in a region where even mediocre wines sell themselves. Biodynamic certified for nearly 20 years, they farm 48 hectares of vines on a 180 hectare estate with the balance of the land being used as pasture and woodlands teeming with wildlife. The grape here is Cortese they ferment with yeast cultivated from the estate. Packed with flavor of crunchy orchard fruit, bright citrus and great minerality, this wine is not to be missed.
